The second volume, “REPUBBLICA SOCIALE ITALIANA – LEGIONE TURKISTAN (1943- 1945)”, contains pictures of Italian soldiers who fought next to Germany in the last period of war, when the Italian Social Republic was born.
It is divided into two parts: the first one is dedicated to Italian Social Republic troops and it contains photos of X Mas Squadron, of G.N.R. (Republic National Guard), of Monterosa and San Marco divisions and pictures of the Black Brigades. These all are military formations which were born in the last period of the war because of Mussolini’s Social Republic which had been established in North Italy.
In the second part, there is a large number of kis Legione Turkistan’s pictures.
It acted in the North of Italy, first at the front, later with anti-partisan function.
